Closely following international standards, the courts were mirrored after those built for the 2019 Western Canada Summer Games in Swift Current, Alberta.

Poelman worked on behalf of Volleyball Yukon to partner with FH Collins Secondary, CSSC Mercier, and Yukon Department of Education. This project was also accompanied with countless support from sport governing bodies, Aboriginal Sport Circle, City of Whitehorse Parks & Recreational Branch, Yukon Sport and Recreation Branch, and Sport Yukon.
Poelman successfully acquired $172,000.00 from the Canada Northern Economic Development Agency to complete the project.

The Volleyball Yukon Beach Courts were built summer of 2022 between FH Collins Secondary and CSSC Mercier in Riverdale, Whitehorse.
